Harley XLH Sportster Oiltank
Life's a bitch... Thank God there's Harleys...
On 16 April 2008 we started to strip our Harley XLH Ironhead Sportster. Here you see the back side of the oil tank that was removed from the right hand side of the bike, prior to cleaning.
Here we have indicated the two bolt points by which the oiltank was attached to the backside of the
battery box. Watch that 2" steel strip.
Does anybody know this is standard?
This is how the oil tank sat on the right hand side of the frame under the saddle.
