Our Parts Washer
Life's a bitch... Thank God there's Harleys...
After a couple of weeks patience (difficult!) our parts washer finally arrived. Fortunately, it was well worth the wait. Cleaning and degreasing of the dirtiest engine parts goes very easy in this handy red box. Hey, it's fun!
The parts washer works by pumping a degreasing fluid through a flexible spout. Parts are rinsed and brushed under the spout until clean, while the grease and dirt flow down with the degreasing fluid through a filter into a reservoir, whereafter the fluid is recirculated back through the spout.
Our red friend is ideal for cleaning parts like these Harley Ironhead cam gears.
The parts washer that we bought is just big enough to accommodate the larger parts of our Ironhead engine.
After a cleaning session we close the lid and pack the whole parts washer box unit in a garbage bag to prevent
evaporation of the degreasing fluid. When not in use we store it on a shelf.
