Oldschool Bobber Front Wheel Lacing
Life's a bitch... Thank God there's Harleys...
Our 1973 Sportster came with the standard HD front wheel which did not fit our idea of an oldschool bobber. We did really dig that old-fashioned drum brake, however. So we got ourselves a 21 inch diameter rim, and ordered a new set of stainless steel spokes.
Our bobber project attracts a lot of attention in the family and within our circle of friends, and everybody wants to contribute. And we're lucky. It appears that we are surrounded by many talents!
So please allow us to introduce you to Piet.
Piet is L's father in law. This young man has just turned 81 on December 21st 2008, and he's our true oldschool lacing specialist!
